Rediscovering Korea: A Journey Through Printed Memories

In May 2019, I embarked on a nearly two-week journey through South Korea, immersing myself in the country’s vibrant culture, rich history, and captivating attractions. Along the way, I gathered an eclectic assortment of materials—flyers, postcards, informative booklets, and posters—from museums, galleries, and tourist destinations. My intention was not only to preserve these mementos but also to study their design, layout, and the ways they conveyed information visually.

Yet, upon my return, life intervened. These carefully collected treasures were tucked away into a bag, placed on a shelf, and gradually faded from memory. Now, as I prepare to clear my old room and make space for new projects, I find myself revisiting these forgotten materials. Each piece evokes memories of places visited, stories told, and the excitement of discovery that colored those two weeks in Korea.

In an effort to preserve these printed memories, I have decided to digitize the collection. This way, the designs, arrangements, and inspirations will be easily accessible—not only to me but also to anyone interested in experiencing them from afar.

Please enjoy this digital collection, a fusion of travel, design, and nostalgia.
